Water pipe, made of 100% virgin Unplasticized Poly Vinyl Chloride (U-PVC) resin, dark grey colour, designed for a service life of at least 50 years at 20 degrees Celsius, manufactured in accordance with ISO 4422-1 and -2:1996. Hydrostatic strength values at 20 and 60 degrees Celsius tested as per ISO 1167-1/2:2006 requirements. Pipe dimensions (ISO 4065), tolerances, wall thickness and ovality (ISO 11922-1:1997), nominal pressure rating (PN) and nominal outside pipe diameter (OD) as per ISO 161-1:1996. This pipe is rigid and is non toxic, suitable for drinking water.
This pipe is connected by (male) spigot one end and (female) socket the other end by solvent cement jointing. The pipes are supplied complete with sufficient cleaning liquid and solvent cement.
Each pipe to be indelibly marked, at intervals not greater than 1 meter, with the manufacturers name or trade mark, the pipe material (i.e. PVC-U), the nominal outside diameter, wall thickness and pressure (PN), the standard number (ISO 4422:1996), and the words "UNICEF - NOT FOR SALE".
Nominal working pressure at 20°C (PN) = 16 bar.
Supplied in length of 5.8 metres to fit ISO shipping containers for secure shipment

Packaging and labelling:
In wooden frames not exceeding 500 kgs, or in ISO shipping container loads.
Smaller diameter pipes may be nested inside larger diameter pipes to minimize shipping container loads.

Cleaning liquid from 0.5 - 5 litres per 100 joints.
Solvent cement from 1 - 10 litres per 100 joints

U-PVC is not Ultra Violet stabilized, and as such needs to be protected from sunlight by burying in soil or for use within buildings. Can be laid in somewhat unstable soil conditions, provided related standards and recommendations are applied
