General Description:
Hard flooring is a modular flooring system of interlocking plastic tiles creating a flexible hard floor which can be installed inside tents when used for multipurpose accommodation, offices, temporary learning places and storage places.

Its environmentally friendly, involves low energy production process, fully recyclable and can be disposed of safely by burning or burying when recycling is not possible.

Technical Specifications:
The floor is designed taking into account the needs of people living with impaired mobility and low vision. Floor front ends towards doors on each side are marked with a bright yellow colour, that prevent tripping at entrances. The top surface of the floor is finished and detailed to avoid tripping and slipping, also when wet.

Floor tiles (i.e. 100% high impact Polypropylene) are pre-assembled panels easy to handle for fast assembly/fixing on site, it provides a high load bearing floor on un-even and soft grounds. The floor contains penetration holes to allow water to pass through and channels for power cables to run under the floor.

Temperature conditions: Able to perform in hot, cold, and wet weather conditions, reduce heat build-up in direct sun light and able to block ultraviolet (UV) rays. Reduced absorption moisture in below zero temperatures.

Packaging and labelling:
The hard flooring is packed in PE carry bags of 48 Kg each, strapped on wooden pallet.

Transport and Storage:
The hard flooring will be shipped in multiple carry bags of 48 kg each strapped on wooden pallet. Airfreight is possible but will be costly due to weight and volume.

Addons to be ordered separately for each size:
The five (5) addons i.e. Winter Liner Kit; Inner liner; Hard flooring; Electrical lighting kit, and Solar lighting kit are Non-Warehouse items. These addons are size specific and only compatible with new tents.

Emergency scenarios
The tent fixed with hard flooring is intended to serve as a temporary facility for programme implementation e.g. as temporary learning place for education, child-friendly spaces for child protection, and nutrition facilities for nutrition programme.

Target population:
ECD (early childhood development), school going children, and adolescent

Emergency scenarios where the item should not be used:
In areas where hurricanes may occur the tent with hard flooring fixed inside may get damaged due to strong likelihood of tent collapse

Other Emergency scenario considerations:
Since tent cannot be installed on a sloppy ground and/or in hilly/mountainous regions hence installation of hard flooring inside the tent would not be possible.
