General Description:
Chlorine test, DPD No. 3, rapid dissolving tablets, pack of 250 tablets.

Technical Specifications:

For testing of drinking water for (Combined Chlorine) as Cl2 for ranges of (0 to 10 mg / litre).

The DPD No.3 tablet is used for calculating Combined Chlorine (Mono- and Dichloramines) by adding the DPD No.3 to the water sample with dissolved DPD No.1. The result is Total Chlorine, from which the measured Free Available Chlorine (with the DPD No.1) is deducted to determine the Combined Chlorine result (mg/l).

NOTE: Rapid dissolving tablets are NOT appropriate for use with Digital Photometers and similar.

Instructions for use:
The rapid dissolving tablets are used for testing Chlorine in drinking water using simple visual block, pool or disc Comparator (i.e. for use with non digital and non electrical comparators).

Comments:
The Rapid dissolving tablets are NOT appropriate for use with Digital Colorimeter and Photometers due to their content of effervescent additives which may trouble the reading precision of these meters. This influence is however insignificant for the use in (non digital) visual testers.
This reagent type is also available on the market in powdered form packed in pillows (sachets) and as strips packed in bottles.
