Temperature Control  
Microprocessor controlled via keypad. One RTD (PT100 Class A) control sensor, LCD Alpha/numerical Digital Display, with key buttons , display precision 1°C, adjustable cabinet temperature set point -20°C to -86°C.
Display keypad allows temperature setpoint to be adjusted by 1C with up and down arrows on display. Accuracy is better than +/-1°C

Acoustic alarms for temperature deviations (high and low):
Over-Temperature Alarm: If the freezer compartment temperature is 10ºC warmer or colder than the Setpoint for five seconds then it will go into temperature alarm mode.
The Over Temperature LED will turn on (this is used for under temperature alarms as well). The freezer will make a double beep every 10 seconds.

No battery backup built into freezer for audio and visual alarm system, and temperature recording device. If unit is connected to included Universal power supply, the entire unit will have back up power for minimum 50 min.

Refrigeration System 
M150 model free piston Stirling Engine - Free Piston configuration, creates hot and cold zones by compressing and expanding He gas. Cold zone is connected to thermosiphon charged with 10-12g of R170- Ethane which pulls heat from cabinet.
Noise level: <45 dB(A) at 1 meter

Air cooling 
Finned heat exchanger with forced air cooling with air inlet and air outlet. Reuseable, cleanable Integrated filter keeps heat exchanger clear of dust.
ULT freezer performance (temperature uniformity, door recovery) guaranteed at ambient temperatures between +5°C and +40°C.
Steady State Energy Use at 25ºC Ambient < 2.8 kWh/day (average power 118 watts) at -80°C (Empty Cabinet)

Stirling engine cooled thermosiphon is wrapped around outside of inner wall. Inner wall protected.

Defrosting: Manual defrosting.

Doors 
Outer lid equipped with 2 hinges and a keyed lock to prevent opening.
Silicone based, double bulb seal in outer lid.
One removable, insulated inner lid has a tight-fitting high-density, rigid foam.
Access port can be used to relieve vacuum lock.

All internal and external components of the refrigerated body are protected against corrosion.
