General Description:
Riser pipe SET, U-PVC with SS couplings, 32mm nominal diameter, 3 meters long, for SDWP/EDWP Hand pump, INDIA MARK II type, and supplied in set with SS connecting rod.

Riser pipe,
3 meters in length, made of u-PVC, mounted with male threaded AISI 304 Stainless Steel (SS) ends, one end fitted with a female threaded SS coupling, diameter 32 mm (1"1/4) for use with India Mark II hand pumps, the other end protected with a HDPE thread protector covering the entire length of the thread.

The pipe is manufactured from 100% virgin Unplasticized Poly Vinyl Chloride resin, dark grey or blue colour, designed for a service life of at least 50 years at 20 degrees Celsius, in accordance with EN/ISO 1452-1/2:2009, certified non-toxic, suitable for drinking water, and exempt from CaCO3 and/or other strength weakening additives.
Pipe dimensions in accordance with ISO 4065:1996, tolerances, wall thickness, ovality, nominal pressure rating (PN), nominal outside pipe diameter (OD) etc. as per ISO 161-1:1996 and BS-EN/ISO 11922-1:1997.
Each U-PVC pipe is fitted with a fully integrated seamless SS coupling system, either composed by 2 short, male threaded SS connection pipes, one each end, and a female threaded SS coupling; or alternatively by one short, male threaded SS connection pipe, one end, and one female threaded SS pipe at the other end, both pieces fully integrated with the PVC pipe.
This pipe Coupling System shall be dimensioned with nominal diameter 32 mm as per ISO 2853:1993, all made from seamless Stainless Steel AISI 304L (1.4307). The nominal diameter is established in compliance with RWSN/SKAT specifications for India Mark II Hand Pumps, Revision 2-2007.
Threading complies with the riser pipe holder threading (water tank) of standard India Mark II hand pumps, unless an adequate nipple/adaptor is provided with the riser pipes (one adapter per 10 riser pipes).

Each riser pipe comes complete with:

One Connecting Rod,
made of Stainless Steel AISI 304 grade (IS:6603 Gr4 CrNi 18 10), with M12 rolled male thread at one end, and M12 SS female threaded coupling welded at the other end (Option B SKAT-RWSN Afridev Rev. 5-2007).
SS Rod Diameter: 10.8mm,
Length of 3 meters (+10/-0mm).

One rod centralizer made of nitrile rubber or similar.
Nominal diameter: 32 mm.

The Riser Pipe is supplied with:
- 1 x 3 meters connecting rod.
- 1 x adaptor mxf/mxm, per 10 riser pipes
- 1 x hemp, 0.2 kg hank, per 100 riser pipes.
- 1 x tubes of alimentary grease for connecting rods.
- 1 x centralizer, riser pipe.

Packaging and labeling:
The pipe is packed in a wooden box or 2,600 lengths in
1 x 20-foot ISO container.

Shipping Details:
The riser pipe is for use in corrosive water to fit India Mark II hand-pumps.

Instructions for use:
This type of riser pipe should only be used when water is too acidic for galvanized iron pipes, and for installation depths not exceeding 45 meters.
For greater depths, stainless steel riser pipes should be used.

The field office must specify the minimum borehole diameter in order to enable the supplier to select the appropriate riser pipe centralizer.
