Instructions for use:
Sterile spinal needle that can be introduced into the sub-arachnoid space to withdraw cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for diagnosis purpose, or for injecting local anaesthetic into the CSF for spinal anaesthesia (surgical purpose).
Must be used by qualified personnel only.
The selected sizes are the most commonly used:
22G (0.70 x 90mm) black, for spinal anaesthesia, adults.
22G (0.70 x 40mm) black, for spinal anaesthesia, children.
20G (0.90 x 90mm) yellow, for lumbar puncture, adults.
Conditions for stock:
Avoid storage at extreme temperatures and humidity levels.
Check the integrity of each unit before use. Single use material, supplied in sterile packaging, may only be used if the packaging is undamaged.
Safety process:
The spinal needle is for single use only.
Strict rules of asepsis must be followed when inserting spinal needle.
Protection of users:
To prevent stick injuries, wear gloves.
NEVER recap the needle after use and dispose of the needle into a puncture proof safety container.
