Artesunate powder for injection, 60mg in 5ml vial, Co-Packed with a separate 3ml ampoule of Sodium bicarbonate/Arginine as solvent/diluent. 1 vial in a box along with 1 ampoule of solvent/diluent and patient information leaflet/instructions for use.

Technical specifications:
Each 5ml vial contains 60mg Artesunate powder for injection.
Each ampoule contains 3ml of Sodium bicarbonate 8.4 mg/mL and arginine injection 20
mg/mL solution for dilution

Artesunate is the water soluble sodium salt of the hemisuccinate ester of Dihydroartemesinin.

Indications:
Treatment of acute complicated and cerebral malaria caused by P. falciparum alone or with other Plasmodium spp. In areas with significant drug resistance, especially in unconscious patients.

Route of Administration:
Parenteral-intramuscular (I.M.) or intravenous injection (I.V.)

30 months

Store below 30°C. Keep the vial and ampoules in the provided carton to protect the product from light. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
