Technical Specifications
Each tablet contains Chloroquine Phosphate 242mg, equivalent to 150mg Chloroquine base (USP) or Chloroquine Phosphate 250mg equivalent to approximately 155mg Chloroquine base (BP).

Indications
Treatment of acute uncomplicated P. vivax, P. malariae and P. ovale malaria as part of combination therapy with Primaquine. Not recommended for use in P.falciparum malaria due to wide spread resistance.
Chloroquine is also used for the treatment of extra intestinal amoebiasis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Note that Chloroquine does not prevent relapse as it has no activity against the exoerythrocytic forms of the parasite.

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C

Keep out of the reach of children (accidental ingestion associated with fatalities especially in children)
Protect from light and moisture

Dispensing instructions
To be taken after meals.
Note: For treatment of P.vivax malaria, Chloroquine must be taken in combination with primaquine, an 8-aminoquinolone.
