Indications:
Treatment of multiple drug resistant malaria, often as second line treatment.
Treatment of severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum.
Can be considered as alternative therapy for chloroquine sensitive strains of P falciparum, P. ovale, P. malariae and P. vivax.
Route of administration:
By slow intravenous infusion after dilution
By intramascular injection (I.M) NOT to be given by intravenous
injection
