General Description:
Globe, topographical, inflatable, diameter 42cm, without stand.

Technical Specifications:
The technical specification of the previous globe (S4419000) was reviewed and a new material for globe (S4419001) that includes a revised technical specification has been created.
This update ensures alignment with UNICEF’s map guidelines, providing clear and accurate information for users.

Topographical globe, inflatable (without the use of a pump): showing continents, oceans, rivers, mountains, deserts, forests etc, but without emphasis on political boundaries (printed in dotted lines).

Maps should comply with ‘UNICEF Map Guidelines’ on the country names, depiction of borders, and other sensitive issues which reflects UN resolutions and agreements regarding borders and nomenclature.
Disputed borders should be rendered with a dash line and checked closely. (e.g., Western Sahara, Ethiopia/Somalia, Sudan/South Sudan (including the Abyei area) etc.) For more details, please refer to ‘UNICEF Map Guidelines’.

Material:
PVC, glossy finish; Approx. thickness 0.19 mm; able to survive rough treatment by the children. Inflating valve made of hard plastic, with two plastic loops for inserting rope/thread for hanging.

Supplied with:
Written instructions in English (and French if available) for inflation and care of the globe. The instructions must match exactly with the design of the globe.

A transparent vinyl plastic repair kit, with instructions in English for repairing a puncture. The repair kit consists of an adhesive vinyl patch measuring 4.5 x 5.5 cm.

Packaging and labelling:
The globe is supplied deflated. Individually packed in plastic bags.

Instructions for use:
To be inflated without the use of a pump as per the manufacturer’s instructions. There are two plastic rings, one of each side of the inflating valve, which can be used for hanging the globe for practical demonstrations during geography lessons.
