Kit can test water for total and thermotolerant coliform bacteria, using membrane filtration technique standard method, as well as turbidity, pH, conductivity, temperature and an extended range of chemicals thanks to the included digital meters and photometer.

CONSUMABLES ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THE KIT AND MUST BE ORDERED SEPARATELY.

PHOTOMETER CAN BE USED TO TEST AN EXTENDED RANGE OF CHEMICALS. STANDARD MATERIAL NUMBERS EXIST FOR IRON, FLUORIDE, MANGANESE AND NITRATE (refer to Related Products below). OTHER REAGENTS CAN BE ORDERED USING U340000 AND INDICATING THE PARAMETER TO BE TESTED.

Kit includes all equipment and accessories to conduct a minimum of 40 bacteriological tests at the same time.

Those are (but not limited to):

- an incubator with adjustable temperature to measure either total coliform or thermotolerant coliform. Kit includes an easy method for user to check the incubator temperature.

- an internal battery (non-spillable lead/acid) with sufficient capacity to power the incubator for at least one test cycle. Kit includes a low battery indication. When kit is directly plugged into a power socket, battery ensures uninterrupted incubation in case of grid power failure.

- a complete filtration assembly, adequate for use with standard 47mm diameter membrane filter and reusable petri dishes.

Kit also includes the following equipment to test for physical and chemical parameters:

- compact, handheld and waterproof digital meter to measure turbidity. Pre-calibrated turbidity meter has a measuring range of at least 0 to 1000 NTU, accuracy of ±2.5% and resolution of at least 0.1 NTU. Meter includes user replaceable (or rechargeable) batteries. Meter is supplied with sample cuvettes, silicone oil, cleaning cloth and calibration standard solution. NOTE: for some products, turbidity is measured using the photometer rather than a separate turbidity meter.

- compact, handheld and waterproof digital meter to measure pH. Meter is pre-calibrated with automatic temperature compensation and automatic buffer recognition. Range: 0 to 14 pH unit; accuracy: ±0.05 pH unit; resolution: 0.1 pH unit. Meter includes user replaceable (or rechargeable) batteries and replaceable sensor. Meter is supplied with calibration buffers.

- compact, handheld and waterproof digital meter to measure conductivity and temperature. Meter is pre-calibrated with automatic temperature compensation. Range: 0 to 20 mS/cm, 0 to 50 degrees Celsius; accuracy ±3% full scale; resolution: 0.01 mS/cm. Meter includes user replaceable batteries and replaceable sensor. Meter is supplied with calibration standard solution.

- compact, portable and robust photometer to measure multi chemical parameters for drinking water quality. Photometer has an internal memory able to store up to 500 measurements. Meter includes user replaceable (or rechargeable) batteries with low battery warning. It comes with all necessary accessories: sample vials, cleaning cloth, brush and dilution set.

Kit, including all accessories, fits in a robust carrying case with easy access and appropriate and protective holding arrangements.

User manual with clear instructions on how to use, maintain, store and troubleshoot the equipment is available at least in English and French.
