GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) measuring tape with cut-off points for severe acute malnutrition, high-risk MAM and MAM for rapid screening of nutritional status of children aged 6-59 months. In Arabic.

INTENDED USE
To measure the mid upper arm circumference for rapid screening of nutritional status of children.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Front side:
Four (4) sections coloured red, orange, yellow and green.
Colour-coded as follows:
Red (Pantone code 1795 C) from 0 to 11.5 cm for SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition).
Orange (Pantone code 1495 C) from 11.5 to 12 cm for High-risk MAM (Moderate Acute Malnutrition).
Yellow (Pantone code 107 C) from 12 to 12.5 cm for MAM.
Green (Pantone code 369 C) from 12.5 to 26.5 cm for not malnourished.
Includes UNICEF logo (Pantone Cyan blue C).

Reverse side:
Pictorial and text user instructions (in black).
Includes UNICEF logo (Pantone Cyan blue C).

Measuring range up to 26.5 cm.
Graduated with 1 mm precision.
Tape width: 1.7 cm (± 0.1 cm).
Tape thickness 0.28 mm.
Tape thickness (0.28 mm) results in an addition of 1.76 mm which has been added to the measurement/ruler on both sides (i.e., 6 cm measurement is actually 6 cm + 1.76 mm).
With three incisions to facilitate tape insertion and fixation (weaving), including place indicator with red arrows for measurement reading.
Incision windows: 2 mm wide and 1.8 cm high.
Double-sided, featuring user instructions (tape method) on the reverse side.

Material:
Tear-resistant polypropylene.
Materials used are free from phthalates, heavy metals and other dangerous substances.
Printing colours: Permanent, resistant to solvents (can be washed and wiped with alcohol, water, or general cleaning agents).
Reusable.
Language: Arabic.
