GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Wheelchair seat cushion: posture support, contoured, with separated top layer

INTENDED USE
Posture support cushion, contoured, with separate top layer
For CHILD or ADULT wheelchair users who require comfort and good support to maintain stability and an aligned posture; and who are at no or low risk of pressure injuries. Cushion and cover function to reduce heat and moisture generated when the user is sitting on the cushion.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Characteristics:
Firm, non-deforming, pre-contoured layered base
Seat bone well to be custom cut by service provider on fitting OR pre-shaped seat bone well area which can be customised (depending on model selected)
Thigh area: level with no OR removable thigh supports (depending on model selected)
Separate, thin top layer
Layers of cushion not glued (to be glued following fitting) OR easily separated (hook & loop laminated) to allow for modifications to optimise posture support.

Height and offloading OR immersion
Overall cushion height: between 62.5 mm- 88.5 mm depending on size and model selsected
Allows limited offloading OR immersion and envelopment of 25-30 mm depending on model selected

Design of bottom of base:
Bottom of base: flat
Shape of base can be modified or an additional insert be provided by service provider for use on sling seat

Size and dimensions:
Cushion width range: sizes between 250 and 500 mm in 50 mm increments
Cushion depth: Can be cut down to required length and/or different seat depth options depending on model selected

Cover allows contouring with user weight and compression of cushion without restricting/changing posture support and pressure redistribution properties and function
